NIPSIA presentation of an Achievement Award to Prof. Mory Gharib

Dr. Bijan Tadayon and Dr. Saied Tadayon, founding members of NIPSIA, Mohammad Ghayour, SPE, USPTO, and Dr. Shahriar Khosravani (NIPSIA), on behalf of NIPSIA, presented an Achievement Award to Prof. Mory Gharib, Vice Provost for Research, California Institute of Technology (Caltech), for pioneering innovations and contributions in fluid mechanics, bioengineering, and imaging technologies. The award was presented during a lecture by Prof. Gharib at the USPTO (for TC 1600 and TC 2600) on some of the major innovations at Caltech. Mr. Babak (Robert) Mondesi, SPE, USPTO also presented Prof. Gharib with an appreciation award on behalf of the USPTO.

Following the lecture, Prof. Gharib visited with Mr. David Kappos (Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO) and Ms. Margaret (Peggy) Focarino (Deputy Commissioner for Patents, USPTO) at Mr. Kappos' office for an hour long discussion.
