NIPSIA presenting Achievement Award to Dr. Sohi Rastegar

Dr. Bijan Tadayon, Dr. Saied Tadayon, and Mr. Mohammad Ghayour (SPE, USPTO), founding members of NIPSIA, on behalf of NIPSIA, presented an Achievement Award to Dr. Sohi Rastegar, the Director of Office of Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation (EFRI) at the National Science Foundation (NSF) for his pioneering research and development of nationally recognized academic program in biomedical laser and optics. The award was presented during a lecture by Dr. Rastegar at the USPTO on "Emerging Interdisciplinary Research Ideas" for the USPTO patent examiners, at the USPTO (TC-1600). Dr. Sue Liu (USPTO, SPE), on behalf of the USPTO, gave introduction and presented an appreciation award to Dr. Rastegar for participation in and outstanding contributions to Patent Examiner Technical Training Program.
